When it comes to horse stable design, one crucial thing to consider is a good floor, as it is an essential factor that improves a horse’s well-being. A good floor should have the right material that meets the needs of the horse and should possess the following characteristics:

Another thing to consider regarding horse stable design is the size of the mat itself. If you don’t know, measure your horse stable. Most stable mats are measured wall to wall in meters i.e. 4m x 4m.  Getting softness and a single piece of rubber going wall to wall in your stable is key particularly around ease of cleaning and urine and odor control.  Having rubber tiles or cracks in the rubber flooring allows urine and dirt/food to get in between and cause problems.  A single rubber top cover is key.
